Endocrinology and Endoscopy
Endocrinology is the study of the endocrine system in the human body. This is a system of glands which secrete hormones. Hormones are chemicals which affect the actions of different organ systems in the body. The malfunctioning of these organs can be identified by Endoscopy refers to looking inside the body for medical reasons using an endoscope, an instrument used to examine the interior of a hollow organ or cavity of the body. Unlike most other medical imaging techniques, endoscopes are inserted directly into the organ. And very less endoscopy risks are there during test.
There various types of endoscopes depend upon the site in the body and the type of, endoscopy test performed by a doctor or a surgeon, and the patient may be fully conscious or anaesthetised. Endoscopy is used to refer to an examination of the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract, known as an esophagogastroduodenoscopy.
