Yong-Xiao Wang has been a Full Professor in Albany Medical College (USA) since 2006. Dr. Wang has had extensive research experience in basic, translational and drug research concerning pulmonary hypertension, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, and cardiac arrhythmia for over 30 years. As the Principal Investigator, he has/had numerous NIH R01 research awards, AHA Established Investigator Award, and various other grants, for which he often holds/ held NIH R01 grants with other awards each year. As the corresponding author, first author and key contributor, he has had numerous publications in highly peerreviewed journals including Antioxid Redox Signal (impact factor: 8.209), Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (9.432), Nature (34.480), Circ Res (9.214), etc. Dr. Wang has been the editor of academic books in the field including one entitled by “Redox Signaling in Health and Disease Pulmonary Vasculature†that was published by Springer (New York) last fall. Dr. Wang has also served as the editorial board member and/or section editor for the Clinical and Translational Medicine, Pulmonary Circulation and several other journals.

He has published two books and numerous papers in reputed journals focusing on phytocannabinoid supplementation for a variety of endocannabinoid deficiency disorders.

Salma Mehar(Biography)
Salma Mehar has completed a Nutrition & Dietetic Degree from the London Metropolitan University and then went onto to complete a further Postgraduate degree in Diabetes Care from Warwick University. Salma has been practicing as a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian for over 15 years. She is the key author of the new World Foods Book by Carbs & Cals which is the first visual Carbohydrate awareness resource for Ethnic Minority Communities. Salma is working on a Diabetes Transformation Programme developing resources for people from the BAME populations to improve health outcomes. Her role has extended working across the globe with various communities teaching and developing educational tools and resources to improve health literacy in local communities in the Middle East and South Asia. She is currently teaching Dietitians in Pakistan on setting up education programme for the South Asian communities. She is also working on developing digital resources for ehnic communities that improve diabetes education across the globe.

Dr. Ramesh K Adiraju is an Interventional cardiologist and endovascular specialist in clinical practice since 1993 in Philadelphia area. He established RENU-CA (REvascularization by Novel Utilization - Clinical Autonomic) research institute in 2005 to pursue my research interests. He has developed novel protocols for reversing Insulin requirements in Type-ll diabetics, Reverse left ventricular dysfunction in cardiomyopathy and heart failure patients and limb salvage in diabetics with peripheral vasculopathy. He has also developed novel treatment protocols for syncope and orthostatic hypotension patients. He has also pursued endovascular revascularization for peripheral arterial disease without stents followed by endothelial stabilization protocols to reduce re-stenosis. All these pursuits are as a solo practitioner without any University support for 15 years and I would look forward to having collaboration through the board to put out my work. Dr. Stanley Andrisse is a endocrinologist scientist and assistant professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Howard Uni-versity College of Medicine researching type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. Dr. Andrisse completed his Ph.D. at Saint Louis University and his M.B.A. and Bachelors degree at Lindenwood University, where he played three years of Division II collegiate football. Dr. Andrisse’s service commitments include: Executive Director and Founder of From Prison Cells to PhD, past President of the Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Association, Founder of the Diversity Postdoc-toral Alliance, member on several local and national committees aimed at community outreach, youth mentor, and motivational speaker.

Derek Beatty gained his BSc in Biological Science & Business Studies, Edinburgh University, 1972, and his Diploma in Marketing, Slough College, 1977. He has been a Director of Aston Clinton Scientific Ltd since 1997 supplying respiratory nebulisers and specialising in diabetes. He is a Consultant to PolyPhotonix Medical. He recently founded Mobile MedTech Ltd to offer a Mobile Diabetes Service in Scotland involving NHS Scotland with experience in the team launching Europe’s First Mobile MRI Service in 1990. He has had T1D for 40 years and overcome diabetic retinopathy.
