Biography
Ana Costa is an agricultural engineer graduated from the University of BrasÃÂlia, with a specialization in Molecular Biology from UnB, a Masters in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology from the Catholic University of BrasÃÂlia and a PhD in Molecular Pathology from UnB. She is currently a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. Coordinator of the Passitec networks Technological Development for Functional Use of Passifloras Wild and Portfolio Use and Evaluation of Brazilian Passifloras. Executive Secretary of the Regional DF of the Brazilian Society of Food Science and Technology (SBCTA-DF).
Research Area
She develops research in the area of the molecular markers of DNA, prospecting of genes of industrial interest, nutrigenomics, expression of bioactive in vitro, characterization of phytochemicals and coordinates studies to obtain new products from fruits plants biodiversity, and efficacy of functional foods.
